Happy Ramnavami- 2019!
Story from a Kanakadasa Kriti. Not many times we hear about Sri Rama’s childhood as we do about Sri Krishna. This story is innocent, lively, positive and has a happy ending. Enjoy the video here:
One evening little Rama was playing in the lawn of his palace Suddenly he saw the beautiful bright moon in the sky. He wanted to hold the moon and play with it. He called his mother and stretched his hand towards the sky. His mother- Kausalya realized that her son was asking for the moon to play with. To distract him, she brought more wooden toys and placed in front of Him. Little Rama was too stubborn and threw all the toys away. He wanted to play only with the moon. Soon, he started crying loudly. Hearing his eldest son’s cry, Sri Rama’s father- King Dasharatha came running along with his minister to find out the reason. After knowing the reason for his little son’s sadness, the wise king placed a standing mirror in front of his eldest son. He also scooped the beautiful little prince and placed him fondly on his lap. The mirror showed the reflection of the beautiful moon closest to little Rama. Thinking he got his moon to play with in the mirror, the innocent little child danced in joy. Lord AdiKeshava- who watched all the events with delight, blessed the entire Raghuvamsha- Lord Rama’s clan.
